By Dan

DRAWING ON THE SPIRIT- 68) Speaking in tongues gives you power to walk this Christian life by being immersed into the Holy Spirit. a) Speaking in tongues empowers your spirit to release what’s inside of you through the Holy Spirit. b) To impact your soul and body the Holy Spirit takes a hold of you and prays for you. 69) For when you speak in an unknown tongue, your spirit prays [by the Holy Spirit within you] (1Cor. 14:14). 70) Eph. 6:10 again says-In conclusion, be strong in the Lord[empowered through your union with Him]; a) draw your strength from Him b) [that strength which His boundless might provides]. 71) Speaking in tongues will draw strength from your spirit where the Holy Spirit inhabits. 72) Pro. 20:5 says-counsel in the heart of man is like water in a deep well a) but a man of understanding draws it out. 73) Prov. 18:4 says-The words of a [discreet and wise] man’s mouth are like deep waters [plenteous and difficult to fathom] and the fountain of skillful and godly wisdom is like a gushing stream [sparkling, fresh, pure, and life giving].

74) Jesus has been made Wisdom unto us(1Cor. 1:30). He is in your spirit. 75) You can draw on that Wisdom by speaking in tongues. 76) Jesus in John 7:38 said-He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the scripture has said, from his innermost being shall flow a) [continuously] springs and rivers of living water. b) Speaking in tongues, praying in tongues(your heavenly language) allows the waters to flow. 77) John 7:39 says- He was speaking here of the Spirit, a) Whom those who believed (trusted, had faith), in Him were afterward to receive. b)For the Holy Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to honor). c) Rivers flow when the Spirit is able to pray through you. 78) Ro. 8:26 tells us- So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weaknesses; a) for we do not know what prayer to offer b) nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, c) but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication d) and pleads in our behalf e) with unspeakable yearnings and groanings f) too deep for utterance. 79) Ro. 8:27 says- And He Who searches the hearts of men knows a) what is in the mind of the [Holy]  Spirit [what His intent is] b) because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] c) in behalf of the saints d) according to and in harmony with God’s will. e) So you are praying God’s perfect will when praying in tongues. 80) So praying in your prayer language, you’re allowing the Holy Spirit to pray through you. a) And He prays for you, if you allow yourself to pray in the Spirit. 81) When you don’t know what to pray, praying in the Spirit will help you.

82) There is great advantage and benefits praying in the Spirit. 83) The syllables you let out, the Holy Spirit puts His power on them and it becomes anointed. 84) It’s child like faith to believe and do this. Take it by faith. Jesus says when the Son of man comes will He find faith on the earth(Luke 18:8).  85) It may sound like gibberish to you when you first start, but remember God says He will speak to this people with stammering lips. Trust God and believe. 86) When you pray in a tongue, you’re praying to a God Whom You know is taking care of things supernaturally and according to His will. He puts His super on your natural. You are co-laborers together (1Cor. 3:9). 87) Your spirit is praying [by the Holy Spirit within you]. a) The mind is unproductive. 88) In 1Cor. 14:15, Paul says-he prays with his spirit [ by the Holy Spirit that is within me ] a) and he will also pray with his mind, his understanding. b) So it’s good to do both. c) God needs your tongue because we are co-laborers. 89) In Cor. 14:18 Paul says-I thank God that I speak in [strange] tongues(languages) a) more than any of you or all of you put together; 90) Remember when you are praying in tongues, you are worshiping and magnifying the Lord (Acts 10:46).
