Spiritual food works like natural food. You eat, then your body breaks down the nutrients. The only thing you did was feed yourself. The same thing happens with spiritual food. You feed yourself the Word of God and you let your spirit absorb the nutrients through God. You choose to feed yourself by imprinting the Word on your heart constantly everyday (Ps.103:18 Ampc. Ps.106:7 Ampc). It keeps your spirit strong. How strong depends on how much you feed yourself(Ps.1:1-3 Ampc). In the natural, beloved child of God, you know that normally three meals a days are eaten. The less you eat, the less energy is produced. The same in the spirit is true. The more you eat, the stronger your spirit will be. It’s by hearing through speaking that faith comes to your spirit (Ro.10:17, 2Cor.4:13, Ps.116:10). The tongue is the pen of a ready writer(Ps.45:1 Ampc) to imprint His Word on your heart where your spirit dwells with your soul. Lord King Jesus is the Bread of Life that you feed on(John 6:35). Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly(Col 3:16). Treasure the words of His mouth more than your necessary food (Job 23:12). Be blessed beloved child of God!
Prayer-Father, thank You for Your mercy and lovingkindness (Your great grace). I want to feed on the Bread of Life, Jesus the Christ! Let Your Holy Spirit guide me in this important spiritual discipline so that I may renew my mind and strengthen my spirit in the Lord. Thank You, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
